Hello, I'm Marissa!
We can start with the practical details. I attended Paier College of Art, and I’ve had my business for twelve years. Photography has been a constant in my life, but the way I approach it has evolved as I’ve grown.
Most importantly, I’m a mom to a sassy little girl and a sweet little boy, and married to a hardworking, caring man. Outside of work, some of our favorite things to do as a family are visiting Mystic Aquarium and going camping—simple moments that remind me how meaningful it is to slow down and be present together.
I’m drawn to the deeper layers of connection, which is why I’m also immersed in energy work and intuitive practices. That awareness shows up quietly in my sessions: I pay attention, I adapt, and I guide with care so the experience feels grounded, comfortable, and supportive for everyone involved.
I also have more than a few obsessions. Alice in Wonderland is the heart behind the name Wonderland Photography. Donuts and s’mores (even though I don’t eat basically any ingredient in them because I’m a crunchy health nut, they’ll always be my special treats of choice), Halloween in all its forms, and anything Tim Burton—especially The Nightmare Before Christmas. I’ve always loved to read. Stephen King is my go-to, but I also love a good fantasy novel—anything with dragons, or something dark and twisted. I’m also a bit of a crazy plant lady and wouldn’t change that for anything.
My passion for this work goes far beyond taking your picture. I photograph families, couples, and boudoir with the same intention—to create images that feel honest, connected, and true to who you are in this season of life. Whether I’m documenting the love you share with your people or helping you reconnect with yourself, my role is to guide the experience so you feel supported, comfortable, and truly seen.
